Got a question about Veltron heaters, buying online or how everything works? You’ll probably find the answer here.

Q: How do I choose the right Veltron heater for my space?

Start with three simple things:
Floor size – measure length × width in metres to get m²
Ceiling height – taller buildings often need more heat
How cold it gets – very draughty or uninsulated buildings may need a bigger model
On each product page you’ll see a typical area heated (m² and m³). Pick the heater whose range matches your space.
If you’re still unsure, tell us:
What the building is used for (farm shed, warehouse, workshop, hall, etc.)
The floor size and ceiling height
How cold it gets and how often you use it
We’ll suggest the most suitable model for you before you buy.

Q: What fuel do Veltron heaters use?

All Veltron heaters run on:
Diesel
Red diesel
Biodiesel
This makes them ideal for farms, industrial sites and other places where these fuels are easy to get.
Always use clean fuel from a suitable container and follow the instructions in the user manual.

Q: How much electricity do they use? Do I need a special power supply?

No – one of the biggest advantages of Veltron heaters is that they use very little electricity.
They plug into a normal 230 V socket
Power draw is usually around 50–115 W, depending on the model
That’s roughly the same as a light bulb or two, so you don’t normally need a new electrical circuit or heavy wiring. The electricity is only used to run the controls, fan and electronics – the heat itself comes from the fuel.

Q: Do I need a flue or chimney? What about ventilation?

Veltron heaters are designed for very clean combustion, with no visible smoke and very low smell. In many buildings you do not need a fixed flue or chimney, which is one reason they’re so flexible.
However, you must always:
Follow the installation and safety instructions in the manual
Make sure there is enough fresh air in the building
Keep the heater on a flat, stable surface with clear space around it
Every site is different, so if you are unsure, ask your safety adviser or contact us for guidance before use.

Q: How noisy are Veltron heaters?

Veltron heaters are designed to be very quiet compared with many traditional heaters. Noise levels are around 32 dB on typical models, which is similar to a quiet library.
That means:
You can hold a conversation close to the heater
Staff can work without shouting over fan noise
They are suitable for workshops, halls and many indoor spaces where noise would be a problem.

Q: Can I move the heater around my site?

Yes. All Veltron heaters are designed to be portable:
They are mounted on wheels
They have grab handles so you can steer and position them
You simply roll them where the heat is needed, as long as you can safely reach a 230 V socket and fuel
If your work moves – for example, different bays in a workshop or different parts of a shed – your heat can move with you.

Q: Do I need a professional installer?

In many cases, Veltron heaters are plug-and-play:
Place the heater on a flat, stable surface with clearances as shown in the manual
Fill the tank with the correct fuel
Plug into a 230 V socket
Follow the start-up and safety steps in the instructions
Because they are portable and don’t usually need fixed flue work, a full installation by a specialist is often not required.
That said, you are responsible for using the heater safely. If you are unsure about your building, ventilation or local rules, please seek professional advice.

Q: What are Veltron Service Kits and do I really need one?

A Veltron Service Kit is a small pack of key service parts for your specific model (DHOE 90, 120, 150, 210, 250F, 350F or 500F).
They help you to:
Keep your heater reliable and efficient
Replace key parts during planned servicing, before they fail
Reduce downtime by having parts ready when your engineer visits
Pricing:
On their own: £66 + VAT, with free delivery
When bought with a heater: 10% off – £59.40 + VAT, with free delivery
You don’t have to buy a kit, but it’s strongly recommended if you plan to use your heater regularly through winter.

Q: What is the Battery Operated Fuel Pump and why would I want one?

The DP-08EA Battery Operated Fuel Transfer Pump makes refuelling simple and clean.
It is battery powered – no mains power needed at the fuel can
It has an automatic stop function to help prevent spills
It transfers fuel from cans or drums into your Veltron heater quickly
You can also use it when emptying the heater’s tank for storage or maintenance
Pricing:
On its own: £34 + VAT, including delivery
When bought with a heater: 10% off – £30.60 + VAT, including delivery
If you’re tired of lifting heavy cans and spilling fuel, the pump is a very easy upgrade.

Q: Can I control the heater from my phone?

Yes, many Veltron models can be controlled using the Veltron app. Once connected to Wi-Fi, you can:
Check the room temperature
See the fuel level
Turn the heater on or off remotely
Adjust the temperature or settings without walking to the unit
The app is available for:
Apple devices via the App Store
Android devices via Google Play
It’s ideal if you want the building warm before anyone arrives.
